Iris enjoyed gardening and arts and crafts, especially embroidery. Surviving are her husband of 67 years, Charles Almond; a son, Vernon C.... A resident of this area all of her life, Rachel was born on August 16, 1936 in Guilford County, a daughter to the late Forrest and Medric Bennett Elliott.
